Tanah Longsor

Landslide
Landslide is a geological event that occurred because of ground motion such as falling rocks or clumps of soil. Although the main cause of this incident is that the gravitational influence of a steep slope, but there are also other factors that also affect:
Factors Causes Landslides
1. erosion caused by rivers or ocean waves create the slopes are too steep
2. from rock and soil slopes weakened through saturation due to heavy rain
3. earthquakes causing pressure which resulted longsornya weak slopes
4. volcanic ash deposits create a quiet, torrential rain and dust flow
5. vibrations from machinery, traffic, use of explosives, and even lightning
6. closely that too much, for example from rain or snow gathering

Prevention of landslides:
1. No cutting or damaging forest
2. Planting on the bare area
3. Create a channel rainwater
4. Building a dike or retaining wall

Strategy and disaster reduction efforts:
1. Avoid disaster prone areas for residential development and other major facilities
2. Reducing the level of slope steepness
3. Increase / improve and maintain good drainage and ground water and surface water. (The function is to keep airn drainage from the slopes, avoid water seeps into the slope or drain the water into the slope to the outer slope. So the drainage must be maintained to avoid blockage or water soak into the ground).
4. Making the retaining structure, the anchor (anchor) and pilling
5. Terracing with proper drainage system. (Drainage on the patio - the patio is maintained not to be the way the water soak into the ground)
6. Greening by roots in plant systems and the proper spacing (especially for steep slopes, with gradients of more than 40 degrees or approximately 80% should not plant too close and alternated-snacks with plants that are shorter and lighter, at the base of grass planted ).
7. With building a strong foundation
8. Conducting soil compaction around the housing
9. Introduction of landslide prone areas
10. Making the retaining levee to collapse of rock (rock fall)
11. Closure of the fracture on the slope to prevent water from entering quickly into the soil.
12. Pile foundation are strongly advised to avoid the danger of liquefaction (infection of the fluid). 13. The utility is in the ground must be flexible
14. In some cases the relocation is recommended.
